a year of breakthroughs
a year of growing up
a year of knowing myself much more
a year of battles
a year of despair and depressions
a year which huiyu isn’t like that huiyu in 2007

but all i shld do now is to

REMEMBER LOT’S WIFE
which is simply to FORGET and LOOK FORWARD.

let pray that 2009 will be the best year yet.
gonna start making goals and filling up the boxes in that goal-setting card
start to have directions for the new year to come.

by the way, the year 2008 is not only a leap year but also has one more second.
so, rmb to count down like that: 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 1

Christmas 2008

Christmas 2008 wasnt like before.

honestly, i wasnt looking forward to it at all…. yarr.

maybe it’s cause i didnt expect anything from it and wasnt anticipating anything thus, everything turn out to be rather enjoyable. everything was rather importu.

initially, MrBF and i tot we won’t have a chance to have a Christmas dinner together either on the eve due to the svc i had to meet friends and on the actual day itself coz we have a birthday party to attend. thus, decided to meet on 23dec in town to soak ourselves in the Christmas mood and to have a nice meal together. him being sick, decided to have something light so we had dintaifeng. yeah, i like.

the food was nice as usual but i tink they serve too fast alr. thus, the food were cold by the time we finish eating them.
then, MrBF still took a photo with a pretty model dressed an angel on the street. haha~~ he must be quite happy. yeaps, then we walked down the streets, strolling though the decorations and stopping now and then for conference calls.

but but in the end, on the eve itself, i was asked not to go down to expo as the svc is alr very packed. however, i alr borrowed the car so we decided to go somewhere inaccessible by public transport. we went to raffles marina, a yacht club just beside the tuas checkpoint. had out 2nd dinner feast of the yr there. too bad it was drizzling if not, we can have a nice stroll by the jetty. it’s a very nice, secluded and quiet place to be at on Christmas eve, with very nice views of yachts lining up by the railings and the 2nd link. i kinda like such place, i dislike crowds.

yeaps, had steak, chicken wings and a very nice cheese naan.

anyways, this christmas just felt different.

then on boxing day, went to chinatown to k with about 10 of my cg members. loong loong time nvr sing song alr, was pretty enjoyable too.

i guess i really learnt that i shldnt be so cynical and critical about things in my life. be less a control freak and just let life flow as it is supposed to be then i will enjoy life more.

i make plans and God shall direct my paths.

Exams + Post Exams

exams this time round was ok, at least i only had one module.
i can be really focused on that and give all out for it.
i did pretty ok, managed to pull up my cap more than i expected. those were tough times in the family though but i held on to the promises of God and trusted in His strength.

right after the paper, i went to holland v’s mexician restaurant then to Häagen-Dazs to celebrate and chill

then after exams, which also marks the end of my internship in Philips the next day…

then were a serials of post-exam, post-intern “celebrations” by ourselves at

bugis and westcoast plaza
fish&co, b&j (yeahness, both my fav)

then a saturday at sentosa and changi airport
my long awaited bakerzin and the battle with tigerair

it was a time of ups and downs for us though.
things won’t smooth even though exams were over and when we thought everything will be much more relaxing and we will have the time of the world to go pah tuo
lotsa expectations of a good holiday or rest ahead were broken, fell to nought….

i didnt even haf time to enjoy slacking times before thanksgiving and Christmas comes our way…

the gingerbreadman is baked by cx, so sweet. felt so blessed by her act and see her grow.

planned to get this bag during my BK trip which was cancelled in the end, so MrBF bought it for me from cine.
and the handmade card that is nvr absent for any occasion… but this one is a lil special, it has a cert of happiness in it presented to me and certified and signed by Director of Happiness…. guess who’s director of happiness? like duh~ haha, but i like it lar… he even prepared a pen to sign it on the spot when he pass it to me…

just finished taking a quick bath after reaching home from sound.
it was children church Christmas rehearsal just now.

from 6pm till ard 3am.

plus hafta wake up at 6am later for the actual children church
left with mere 2 hrs of sleep.
dono how the little children can take it, so qiang.

later in the evening,there’s still thanksgiving.
